"Still Life #2" is a design study focusing on various textures and a traditional fine art style. I used silks, linen and burlap in this composition. This piece was inspired by a Van Gogh still life painting. One of the traditions in still life portrayals, is to have some sense of life and death. The blossoms and leaves represent life, while the dropped flowers and leaves represent death and decay.
