"On Fire" uses my hand painted silk, with burnt edges and holes in some of the fabrics. The multiple layers of this piece are stitched together loosely, and not through all layers, but enough to hold it together. Like a fire, this piece moves with breezes, like flames in a roaring fire. The pieces stand out from each other, as the burnt edges curl up and push the other pieces away. "On Fire" is mounted on raw silk, and is framed.
