"Willow" is a simplified line drawing of one of my favorite trees, a Weeping Willow. I can remember as a child having my own secret place under the drooping branches of a willow. I've always loved the way the branches would sway in the wind, and the sound of the leaves rustling. They would flash silvery green if they twisted in the breeze.

The line drawing in thread is on a background of fiber that is needle felted, blending the colors much like a painting. This piece is presented with a simple, elegant metal frame, without glass, to allow the textile to breathe and to be visually available to the viewer. The framing makes this piece very easy to hang. It will take minimal care. Dust lightly occasionally, and keep it out of direct sunlight. It will maintain its elegance for years.
