"Design #4" is a study working with shapes, colors, and minimalist design in fiber. It is needle felted, which means that the fabric is actually blended in the piece. The lower or under-layer threads are brought to the surface, visually blending the fibers, much like the modern art painters did with paint. The simple composition lends a sophisticated drama to this piece. It seems to have an inner light, and glows. This piece is fabric, stitched to paper, and archivally framed.
